Dear Isolation,
Yesterday was one of nature and creativity (ah, quarantine bliss)
Reiki master Megan ran a morning yoga class, the atmosphere was not as soothing as hoped with two already aching yogis. Toes were not touched, dogs were not downwards and chakras were not aligned (?) but we appreciated a good stretch.
After a ponder over a witty name, Amy created her crafting/baking Instagram page @make_bake_isolate (good huh?). Do give her a follow if you have Instagram, she’s a talented human. It features the floral paper bouquet that she finished this morning – she’ll be taking wedding requests for 2021.
We had a visit from our friendly neighbourhood monkjack deer. The male is missing half of his back leg but he appears to be thriving, we’ve seen him a few years in a row now – if he can do it! Him and his missus are enjoying keeping the lawn trim, I heard on the grapevine they are setting up their own garden landscaping service so I will keep you informed. (Deers and sheers? Fawn’s lawns?)
We went for a blustery stroll around the fishing lakes to ‘brush away the cobwebs’ as mum says. We said hello to next doors horses and disturbed some frisky toads.
Amy and I got started on a painting by numbers in the evening, have we reached our peak? Potentially. Mum got very excited trying out her new sewing machine and the 10 million different stitches it does. Has she also reached her peak? Quite likely.
