A reasonably tame Monday in the Raynor household, not all days can be as decedent as yesterday.
The workouts are starting to take their toll, means we are doing it right? RIGHT? So we settled on a gentle stretch/yoga this morning to ease those aching bones, it was lovely with the sun streaming in through the windows. Think the universe knows that we are in need of some sunshine.
We all got on with our own thing in the morning. I spent a large chunk playing piano, It’s nice to have the time to devote to music. I’ve been learning ‘Fairy Tale’ composed by a very talented man called Yiruma, you may of heard his piece ‘River flows in you’ – it’s a beauty. Amy was on her crafting game, she made a cute little pom pom rabbit (see picture). She’s finally old enough to be trusted with super glue by herself (big step) and no trips were had to A&E to separate fingers, girl did good.
We decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and say hello to the cows, they were less fussed about seeing us today – maybe they’ve been tuning into Bojo’s nightly updates. Mum, while filling up their water troth, managed to spill the water down her sleeve and all over her jeans. She let out a big yelp, we thought she’d touched the electric fence but turned out she’d given herself a shower. She dried off in the sun as we did a circuit around some of the fields, the hill was harder than usual!
We watched Guardian’s of the Galaxy in the evening as a family, Dad enjoyed it but mum thought the fighting was a waste of time – we’ll let her stick to only watching Mamma Mia and Love Actually. We’d purposely decided to not pause the film for the infamous 8:30 announcement, so we were brought right back to reality when we saw the news about the complete lock down. We saw it coming (obviously) but didn’t think it would come that quickly. We had planned to go and fetch Amy’s stuff from York today and stop off to see Grandma and Grandad in their garden and at a distance of course, so sadly that isn’t now able to happen. We will be arranging a skype coffee instead and Amy will have to survive without her whole Disney jumper collection. It’s a very overwhelming time, for everyone, but we are grateful in a way that we know what to expect for the next three weeks at least.
Keep checking in with friends and family, it’s never been more important. We are all here for a virtual chat if you need one, or pictures of dogs in hats – we can provide those too.
