Dear Isolation #12

The start of a new week and back to the grind.. at least we can do it in our pyjamas.

Jack joined us for a morning yoga session (Not ran by Reiki master Megan this time, we left it to the professionals). It was 100% needed, both for the stretch and to get ourselves in a better headspace for the day. I won’t lie it was a real struggle getting up, especially with the clocks moving forward, but I was glad I pulled myself out of bed and made some time for a bit of downward-facing dog.

We all spent the day getting on with our individual work. Jack spent about 6 hours editing his digital workshops, he’d occasionally ask me to watch and give some feedback but for the majority of the day we didn’t hear a peep from him.. Bliss ;). I think he ended up quite enjoying it in the end, which is quite a surprise for someone who didn’t own a working laptop up until about a month ago.

Mum and Dad braved the great outdoors for a little stroll around the farm. They checked up on the cows (who now have a water trough, so mum doesn’t have to soak herself anymore!) I just asked mum if they saw anything interesting on the walk, she said ‘We just enjoyed the views’, thanks for the detail. They did take some extremely flattering walk selfies for the blog will I’m sure you will all appreciate.

In the words of Jack, dinner was ‘banging’ and a solid ‘9/10’. We had a veggie feast of fake duck (guess the nickname I gave that?) pancakes and a Chinese Quorn stir fry. We are looking forward to the arrival of Ocado man on Monday, both for the fact our fridge is looking a bit sorry for itself and the fact we get to see another human!

I watched another of Daisy May Cooper’s live streams on playwriting (I love that woman) before watching Ru Paul with Amy – one of our favourites. We then got waylaid watching Tik Tok videos, I can’t say I’m about the Tik Tok hype but I appreciate Amy saving the videos that she think’s I’ll like and sharing them with me. What else are sisters for if not to send you videos of baby rabbits having their noses ‘booped’?
