Dear Isolation #22

When I think the workouts can’t get any more horrific, I am surprised. We chose a dance cardio one. Fun they promised. Energy Boosting they promised. Uplifting they promised. They didn’t promise that my arms would feel they were actually going to fall off within the first 5 minutes. The ‘cool down’ was equally as agonising as the actual workout, ‘THIS ISN’T A COOL DOWN’ we screamed… ‘THE LACTIC ACID!’ we yelped.

With it being the day before Easter Weekend we were all pretty focused and productive on our individual work, the thought of sunny days and bbq’s motivated us through. I had another Zoom class in the evening; still taking some getting used to. It’s not every day you help lead a class with 10 students, a cat and a dog. I requested an early ‘freezer dinner’, 22 and still just as happy with fish fingers and chips.

Amy’s baking venture for yesterday was scones (she knows how to keep Jack happy) but not just any scones, Easter themed rabbit scones. I must admit, they had a bit of ‘Were-Rabbit’ about them, it was something about the dead sultana eyes. They were glutinous so I cannot comment on the taste but they went down a treat with everyone else. I think for Jack’s birthday we might just have to bake him one massive scone.

Mum and dad went for another evening stroll, appreciating the light nights. I was jealous of their dog spot – a big shaggy Irish Holfhound. Definitely missing choosing my walk locations on where I will spot the most dogs. They also saw 3 fallow deer (with blurry photo evidence) running in the field in front of them. Who needs Woburn hey?
