I’ve done a deal – Megan and Amy are cooking dinner and I’m writing the blog, no complaints from me.
All the days seem to be merging into one and we are all struggling to remember what we’ve done over the last few days! Maybe we’ve just got into a rhythm and when we don’t do something specific (like a spa afternoon) we all just get on with our bits and pieces – or maybe we are just getting boring and/or forgetful.
We are still doing our 9/9.30 am workouts – we will be so fit, I can actually do a push up or two now!! We tried a new Yoga Barre one, a combination of yoga and ballet. Thankfully not too much ballet, gracefulness is not our strength. Amy and I did a ‘Burn 300 calories in 30 minutes’ workout on Monday which was a bit intense, whilst Megan sensibly did some yoga. On Tuesday we all did a stretch and recovery workout – which was not as gentle as it sounds!
Tim got his tractor out again on Sunday and got drenched in a quite a downpour – his tractor does not have a cab so there was nowhere to hide. He collected more logs and now has multiple wood stores so we are prepared if 2020 throws an ice age at us next!
Megan and Jack watched a live theatre recording of ‘A Monster Calls’ from the Old Vic, on Sunday afternoon, and came in for dinner with faces all red and puffy from all the crying – apparently it was very sad but a very good piece of theatre.
On Monday, Amy and I went for a drive to drop off a set of 5 completed scrubs. The sewing group in Northants has made nearly 3000 sets now and there is still demand for more. I picked up another set of 5 to sew, bright pink this time. Amy has caught the sewing bug and is now making facemasks to order, for friends and family. We will be fighting over the sewing machine.
Jack completed his Harry Potter Lego model and Megan got very excited when Jack let her put some of the stickers on it (she’s easily pleased).
Megan treated herself to some new earrings and was very excited when the post arrived on Tuesday, in time for her to put her earrings in before yet another zoom workshop. I’ve ordered a Shewee – which is not so much of a treat but we are thinking it may help get around the lack of public loos. It hasn’t arrived yet so you’ll have to wait for a review!
There are some new baby calves in a field down the lane so we have been on several walks to see their cuteness. Amy said ‘look at that lovely white one with the grey face’, as it came closer we realised its grey face was actually a substantial splatter of poop!
