Dear Isolation #7

She’s made it to a week *pulls one sad party popper*

Jack’s first full day in the isolation household, he is still talking to me so we’re doing alright.

He decided to leave us gals to our morning workout while he went on a jog in the sunshine. We did a dance workout, designed for mother’s and daughter’s which went through different genres of dance – they all look the same when you lack any form of coordination. Their sponsorship with Samsung watches meant we had to pause every 5 minutes so they could check up on their watches, we didn’t need a watch to tell us we were sweaty and our hearts were racing.

We each got on with our own stuff this morning (kinda part of our routine now), I’ve inserted some pictures of Jack looking very studious as he planned some online workshops. We needed an escape from screens (and walls) in the afternoon so we spent a good couple of hours playing games outside. Turns out playing sport with Jack is really annoying because he always wins. We started off with French Cricket, the aim is basically to hit the batter below the knees with the ball or stump them out. Jack made some impressive hits and some impressive catches, at one point he made a flying leap towards the ball while throwing his phone in the process and still caught it with his left hand (the phone also survived). Next game was EXTREME BOULES *dramatic music*. Turns out Jack is good at this too, he’s got the knack for knocking opponents balls out the way to get to prime spot. Amy however, when trying to throw up the hill, threw the ball so hard that it flew over the drive and into the flowers – a near miss from the window.

She was more successful in the kitchen, cooking up a quorn chicken pie and a homemade crumble. Sing with me! ‘EVERYBODY’S GOOD AT COOKING SOMETHING, AMY’S GOOD AT COOKING CRUMBLE’. I’m sure that reference will be lost on a few. Another chill evening was had by all, eating mother’s day chocolates (she’s too kind) and watching The Undateables, always a go to for some heart warming escapism.
