She missed a day!! I’m sorry if I ruined anyone’s Sunday with the void of Raynor antics and average banter. To cut a long story short, my laptop went poof including my Harddrive (not the ideal situation) so with the stress of that, I obviously got waylaid from bloggity blogging. Amy has kindly offered up her laptop for me to continue sharing Raynor antics and average banter.
So this will be a bit of a weekend roundup instead (ooh, how exciting).
On Saturday (after a lie in, of course), Amy chose us a ‘low impact cardio workout’. This was obviously deceiving and can confirm that low impact does not mean gentle – jumping was kept to a minimal but sweating was not. This was not enough apparently and we decided to take the cross country trek to the local village to post a Birthday card. We decided to take the ‘public footpath’ which was just a very vague walk through some fields – Amy and I were convinced at one point we were going to be shouted at by a farmer in a tractor for treading on his crops. When we arrived in the village we walked past a few animal pens and saw a very sweet foal and some mucky chickens.
Our Saturday night treat was an Indian takeout, which had personally been getting me through the week. Believe it or not it was actually Amy’s first take out curry after only just being able to convince her to eat a Korma – She enjoyed it but she was also so hungry that I think anything would have satisfied. We played Bongo’s Bingo again in the evening, persuaded dad to join this time too. We did not sadly win a life-size cardboard cut out of Ainsley Harriot or a karaoke machine but we had fun (that’s what counts right?). Dad also smashed us on the TV themes quiz (my excuse was that most of them were from before I was born).
The plan on Sunday was to have a picnic, with the very minimal contents of our fridge. It was very sunny but also very windy so we decided that we’d just try and sit on the table outside. It was madness. Crisps flying out of our hands, drinks flying over, Tupperware drifting in the wind. We powered on through, like classic Brits. The milk had gone sour, and never one to waste anything mum used it to make some scones. So we enjoyed our blustery scones too.
We just a very low-key Sunday (apart from laptop gate). We played some very competitive games. Amy is currently learning to knit (it’s not making me want to learn) so she continued her practise hat while Mum got on knitting a Hufflepuff cardigan that she is attempting for Amy (Jack wants some Hufflepuff socks). In the evening, Mum and Dad had a wine and facetime session with some friends. They had slightly too much fun testing out facetime from different rooms, particularly trying out the different filters (Mum enjoyed being an emoji poo).
